5/10/2023 0 Comments Ben shapiro true allegiance review![]() I've been tossing this around in my head a lot trying to figure out what it is that bothers me about this book. In that regard, because of how swiftly the plot story unfolds, and how ambitious the scope of the plot is, the cliffhanger ending at the end of the book feels like it should be the ending of the first act, not the conclusion of the book itself. It's more of a serial novel (or novella) since it's clearly designed to set up the next part of the saga. My second gripe is that this isn't really a standalone novel at all. "Tightly edited" would be the charitable way to describe that aspect of the book. There's never any tension, because it's never allowed to build. The characters are good, it's just the story unfolds with such breakneck speed that we don't get to know the players in the story in any fashion except for a rushed backstory. I think the biggest problem is that the pacing of the novel is breakneck the entire way through. That being said, this novel falls a little flat. ![]()
